An Arm’s Length Away
2026, Soft pastel, 32x 60cm.

This painting is dedicated to both sides of the struggle: to those who find the strength to reach out and help others, even while carrying burdens of their own, and to those who feel as though they are drowning beneath the weight of darkness.

There are moments in life when the depths around us seem too strong to overcome, when silence grows heavier and hope feels distant, almost invisible. In those moments, it is easy to believe we are alone.

Yet there are those rare souls who, even while standing in the middle of their own storms, still find the strength to extend a hand to someone else—not because their path is easier, but because they refuse to let another person sink where they once stood.

Hope is always there, somewhere beyond the darkness. But it rarely arrives without effort. It asks something of us: the courage to move, the will to fight, the strength to reach.

Sometimes the distance between despair and hope is nothing more than the space between two hands.
